Getting your audience’s attention is more challenging than ever. As entrepreneurs being able to reach people is incredibly important to the success of your business. The good news is that there is a powerful tool you can use to start creating content that stands out and sets you apart from the rest.

Are you ready to learn how video can help your business stand out online?

The Power of Video in Marketing

Our world is saturated with content, it is said that content gets about 3-5 seconds to get the attention of the user before they move on to the next thing.

That is why video is so dynamic and powerful as a way for businesses and brands to reach their audience.

Video can increase user engagement, boost conversion rates, and leave lasting impressions.

Videos are a great addition to any marketing strategy.

I’ve got some bad news for you though, simply putting up videos isn’t going to be the magic ticket to business success.

You MUST have a strategy and understand how to leverage video to work for your brand.

Ready to learn some basic video tips to help your videos stand out!?

Keep reading friend!

As I say with all marketing the most important things you need to know are who your audience is and the messaging they want to receive.

Knowing Your Audience

Your audience is the people who are going to support your brand.

These people will share your content, tell friends about your business and purchase from you, so knowing exactly who they are is key to your success.

Asking questions like what challenges they face, what are their interests, and other defining things can help you gain an understanding of your audience.

This helps you create video content that will get their attention and meet their needs in the 3-5 second window you have when they first see your content.

What Is The Purpose of Your Video?

Having a purpose for your video ensures that it is on brand and will meet the needs of your audience.

Will your video educate, entertain, inspire, or inform? Structure your video around your message.

Remember that a strong message will connect your audience and keep them engaged until the end.

Hook’em (Getting Views)

If you want to catch the attention of your audience you need to have videos that stop them from scrolling away.

For short videos like YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, and TikToks under 60 seconds you need to captivate your viewers as soon as the video lands in front of them.

This can be done with a catchy hook, an interesting transition, or some other attention grabber.

These videos are short so you have to be quick with the content but deliver on quality. Keep in mind your video goals are you going to educate, inform or entertain?

For longer videos like YouTube you still want to have a catchy beginning or at the very least let the viewer know what they will be getting content-wise in the video so they can quickly and easily decide if it is for them.

In longer videos, you want to be compelling in your subject matter.

Both short and long-form videos should be visually appealing. This helps grab the viewer’s attention and keep them watching for longer.

You don’t need expensive equipment to create beautiful videos but what you will need is a well lite area and make sure the video isn’t shaky. You can add graphics, animations, and transitions to create a great viewing experience for your audience.

Get To The Point!

The digital world moves fast! And people’s attention spans are shorter than ever. This means you need a video that is to the point.

Length can differ depending on audience preference so you will want to test out video length to see what your audience is willing and ready to consume.

For longer videos, you can break them into different segments or even make a series that is released over several days or weeks.

Call for Action & Engagement!

Include a strong CTA (call to action) in your video. This tells your viewers what their next step should be.

CTA’s can be anything from asking them to subscribe to your channel to make a purchase or any other action that you want them to take.

Don’t be afraid to ask your audience to comment, like, or share your videos as a way to have your content reach more people!

If you’ve created quality videos your audience will be happy to share!

Stay Current!

Don’t get left behind video is a powerful tool for business.

It helps create connections with your audience, increases engagement, and really can amplify your brand.

If you haven’t started using video in your marketing strategy this is your reminder that you should do so now!
